       Student Status/Course Load

Student status is defined by the number of credit hours for which you register. Student status may have an impact on things such as Financial Aid and eligibility for medical insurance.
  • Full-time student: One who enrolls in twelve or more credit hours per semester.
  • Part-time student: One who enrolls in less than twelve credit hours per semester.
  • Half-time student: A part-time student enrolled in at least six credit hours per semester.
Enrollment certifications are not processed until the Final Registration & Payment Deadline for the full-semester class session has passed.

Students enrolling in 18 or more credit hours in a semester must have their schedule approved by a counselor before they may register.
