FIRST LEGO League

FIRST LEGO League is a fun and great opportunity for kids to explore science and technology. In this program students aged 9 through 14 design, build, and program fully autonomous LEGO MindStorms robots to compete as a team in a friendly robotics competition with other students from around the state. They also complete an interesting research presentation to present to a panel of judges at the competition.

The FIRST LEGO League game challenge and research topic are announced in early September, and students have 8 weeks to complete the project before the first competition begins. The WCC FIRST LEGO League team begins forming in the first week in September and meet weekly until the last competition in November. The 2005 WCC FIRST LEGO League team won 2nd place in the teamwork category. Way to go team!

Contact Dylan Stoll () for more information about joining our team.
