Vice President for Instruction

Responsible for all instructional and academic support positions.

Makes final decisions on faculty hiring, instructional budgets, course
offerings, and curriculum approvals.

Approves expenditures for instructional equipment, faculty and
academic administrative personnel matters, including professional
development and travel.

Is a member of the President's cabinet.
|
| • |
Serves as the chief campus administrator in the president's absence.
|
| • |
Serves as a negotiator with other administrators and faculty union
representatives.
|
| • |
Houses the Office of Curriculum & Articulation and the Office of
Educational Services and directs their efforts.

| • |
Approves all faculty loads and alternative assignments.

Office of Curriculum and Assessment
| • |
Supports faculty and staff by reviewing and updating curriculum
databases and documents.
|
| • |
Offers assistance and guidance in developing new courses and changing
existing courses and their syllabi.
|
| • |
Provides administrative support for faculty in creating new,
inactivating outdated, or adjusting existing programs.
|
| • |
Serves as the official source of curriculum information for faculty,
counseling & advising staff, admissions staff, as well as the College
Catalog.

Is responsible for annual program review of occupational programs.
|
| • |
Implements and oversees program advisory committees.
|
| • |
Provides administrative support for developing transfer agreements
with other institutions of higher education.
|
| • |
Provides support for articulation with high schools.
|
Office of Educational Services
| • |
Generates and processes full-time faculty load reports and inputs
part-time faculty assignments from which contracts are generated.
|
| • |
Coordinates requests for instructional budgets and capital equipment.
|
| • |
Oversees student assessment of faculty.
|
| • |
Maintains faculty professional development records.
|
| • |
Sets deadlines and oversees production of Fall, Winter, and
Spring/Summer Academic class Schedules.
|
| • |
Enters and updates class information in College computer system.
|
| • |
Coordinates annual update of College catalog.
