Literature

The English department offers many options for students who are interested in literature. From Shakespeare to horror and science fiction, WCC's literature curriculum includes genre courses, such as short story and novel or poetry and drama, as well as survey courses, like African American Literature or American Literature I, which spans the time period from the discovery of the New World to the Civil War. Many students enroll in these courses for their transferability to four-year institutions as well as for personal interest.
